1. Introduction

The PEKUNLU HALTER application ("App") is developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İzzet İNCE. This privacy policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you use the application.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this privacy policy.

2. Information We Collect

PEKUNLU HALTER application may collect the following information:

2.1. User-Provided Information

• Personal Information: First name, last name, date of birth
• Physical Information: Body weight, height, weight category
• Training Data: Snatch, clean & jerk, and total lift values, training dates and notes
• Goals and Records: Personal records and goals

2.2. Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version
• Usage Data: App usage statistics, error reports

3. How We Use Information

The collected information is used for the following purposes:

• Providing core app functionality (training logging, tracking, analysis)
• Delivering personalized experience
• Generating performance statistics and charts
• Improving the app and fixing bugs
• Providing user support

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

The app stores and syncs the data linked to your account (athlete profiles, training records, wellness/HRV/ACWR entries, competition results) on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and also keeps a local copy on your mobile/desktop device. This lets a coach access the same athlete data from multiple devices (phone, web, desktop), and lets federation-level accounts track athletes within their authorized scope from a single system.

Data retention period:

• Your data is stored on Firebase servers for as long as your account exists - there is no automatic deletion after a fixed period.
• Data created under an anonymous ("Demo") session is permanently deleted automatically as soon as you sign out of that session.
• You may request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data by emailing izzetince43@gmail.com; once verified, your data is permanently deleted from Firestore within 30 days.
• Uninstalling the app only removes the local copy on that device - it does not delete your cloud account or its data; use the email request above for that.

The following measures are taken to secure your data:

• Authentication via Firebase Authentication (email/password or anonymous demo sign-in)
• Firestore security rules enforce that, by default, each user can only access their own data
• The local copy on your device is protected by your device's own lock-screen/security model

5. Data Sharing

Your personal data is never shared with any third party, organization, or company for advertising, marketing, or sales purposes.

Accounts with a "federation/institutional" role may view athlete and coach data within their authorized scope, for federation-wide athlete tracking - this is part of the app's role-based access model, not a third-party transfer. Beyond that, your data may only be shared:

• When legally required
• With your explicit consent

6. Third-Party Services

PEKUNLU HALTER uses the following Google Firebase services to process and store data:

• Firebase Authentication: Account creation and sign-in
• Cloud Firestore: Cloud storage and cross-device sync of your athlete, training, wellness, and competition data
• Firebase Hosting: Hosting the web version of the app
• Google Play Services: App distribution and update services

These services have their own privacy policies (see the Google Privacy Policy), and we have no control over those policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Our application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. User Rights

As users, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: You can access your data at any time from within the app
• Right to Rectification: You can correct incorrect or incomplete data
• Right to Erasure: Email us to request full deletion of your account and cloud data (see Section 4) - the app's local settings only clear the on-device copy
• Data Portability: You can export your data

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The app uses local storage for basic functionality but does not use web cookies or third-party tracking tools.

10. Privacy Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. When significant changes occur, a notification will be made within the app. The updated policy will be effective from the date of publication.
